Beaufort, SC Fly Fishing Charters

Welcome To Beaufort, SC

Beaufort is a charming town right in the middle of South Carolina’s Low Country Region. Many people visiting Beaufort are here to see their loved ones graduate from boot camp at the Marine Corps Recruit Training Depot Parris Island. Others are enjoying Beaufort’s beautiful downtown and escaping to the quiet beaches of Harbor Island, Hunting Island State Park, and Fripp Island. Beaufort is also a world class fishing destination.

The Low Country Region has the second largest tides on the East Coast. Virtually all of our fishing revolves around these 8.5 foot tidal swings as they drain and fill our vast estuaries twice every day. Our most popular fish species in the area is red fish (red drum). These fish love shallow water and give us opportunities to sight fish for them year round. As the year progresses we have migratory cobia and tripletail that arrive in the spring, and jack crevalle and tarpon that stay in the area all summer. In addition to these other species, sea trout and flounder frequently visit the boat throughout the year.

3/4 Day (6 Hrs)

3/4 day trips are perfect for avid fly and light tackle anglers wanting to do some serious sight fishing for red fish any time of the year. These trips are also your best bet for targeting cobia, jack crevalle, and tripletail when they are in the area.

Full day trips, multi boat trips, and other special request can be accommodated via email, text, or phone. If you don’t see what you are looking for on my calendar still call/text/email. I will get you in contact with some great captains if I am not available.

Inshore fishing in Beaufort SC for red fish

Half Day (4 Hrs)

A lot of people find 3/4 and full days to be a bit more than they are looking for so we offer and run a lot of half day trips. Most of these trips are focused on sight fishing for red fish but seasonally opportunities for cobia, jack crevalle, and tripletail can present themselves.

Flood Tide Fishing

Flood tide fishing is a style of flats fishing that is so geographically unique to this area that it deserves its own category! From April through November our red fish put on a “tailing” show as they take advantage of high tides to feed on crabs in grass flats.

Flood tide openings are not always visible on the calendar, please call if you are interested.
